Malawi leader President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has demanded police officers to be disciplined or else face wrath of the law. Chakwera was speaking in Blantyre during the pass out parade at Limbe Police Training School. “If you lack discipline by engaging in self indulgence, fraternising with criminals and thinking you are above the law by penalising innocent civilians because of your uniform, know that law will catch up with you” the President warned. He further reminded them of the gruelling training they have endured to reach thus far saying the path was so narrow Earlier the day Chakwera met the Minister of Homeland security of Zimbabwe where the President reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthen and deepen the bilateral relations with the government of Zimbabwe. Speaking at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre during a meeting with the Zimbabwe government officials led by the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural heritage Kazembe Kazembe , Chakwera said the two nations are working hard to open up opportunities in the areas of Agriculture,Mining, Energy, Manufacturing and tourism among others. President Chakwera said, the two nations have signed a number of Memorandum of understandings ( MoUs) which will enable people of the two nations to benefit.
