His Excellency Dr Lazarus Chakwera at BICC President Chakwera calls Malawians to embrace love for social , political and economic development Malawi leader President Dr Lazarus Chakwera on Thursday presided over the national day of prayers at a function which took place at the magnificent Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe. During the function Chakwera appealed to the general public to utilize the blessings that Malawi is receiving saying this is the only way the country can transform. The country’s first citizens has encourage Malawians to love one another and support each other’s ideas as Malawi is more blessed with different creatures than other countries. “We have beautiful attractions and weather that makes Malawi a great destination for tourists, but we cannot create friendly conditions for bringing tourists here because any attempt to change our regulatory framework gets blocked for selfish reasons. We have young people who are energetic and creative enough to bring innovation and transformation into every sector, but they are denied opportunity to do so because some who hold decision-making positions in public and private sector are too selfish to give others opportunities to contribute to the change we seek,” the president said. He also mention of the bad attitude of some government institutions who do not like to serve to the best interest of Malawians because of their own pride desires to use their powers to fight useless personal wars with each other. But the Malawi leader has emphasized that if we want God to answer our prayers, if we want him to heal our land, we must first humble and stop participating in wickedness.
