A member of parliament for Nkhata-bay South constituency Ken Zikhale Ng’oma is expected to cheer over 600 elderly people in his constituency as part of new year celebrations. This is coming a week after Ng’oma organised a K4 million football and netball bonanza on Christmas day to celebrate with the youths in the constituency. Speaking ahead of the event, Ng’oma said that he has decided to donate to elderly people considering that they lack support and other basic necessities in their day to day lives. He added that elderly people are very important in shaping the society,hence the need to celebrate with them. “We had a bonanza finals on Christmas day that mainly focused on the youths in the constituency,now it’s time for elderly people to celebrate with their legislator as we enter 2024 through the donation of various items i have prepared for them,” Ng’oma explained. Meanwhile,Ng’oma has urged elderly people in his constituency to come in large numbers.
