President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera on Wednesday appealed to all contractors in the country to do quality work in order to avoid doing similar and repeatitive work. Chakwera interacting with contractors Chakwera said this in Blantyre when he officially commissioned 20 houses belonging to the Malawi Police Services for Bangwe Police Sub station. Out of 20 houses which have been constructed by Plimo construction company, 5 are for senior police officers and 15 for juniors. Chakwera said quality work is important if Malawi is to achieve Malawi agenda 2063. Chakwera is building 10,000 security houses for Malawi Police , immigration, prison warders and Malawi defence force (MDF). Chakwera has been conducting inspections of government projects related to the Malawi Police Service, the Malawi Prison Service, and Immigration staff in the districts of Blantyre and Chikwawa. Commencing the inspection at Mitole Police Station in Chikwawa, the President observed significant progress, with 30 houses nearing completion, including 6 for senior staff and 24 for junior staff. .
