Kiyombo embarks on road reconstruction drive to spur economic growth in Karonga north

Renowned business magnet in Karonga district, Lenzo Kiyombo, has embarked on massive reconstruction and rehabilitation of all road networks in Karonga north constituency enhance domestic connectivity and spur economic growth.

Apart from affecting the economic growth of the area, residents have been struggling to access social services such as hospital and schools because of poor road networks.

Currently, Kiyombo has managed to construct Pusi to Ndido and Pusi to Mtakisha roads which are very crucial around Chiwowora village.

Speaking in an interview after media tour, Kiyombo said roads are the economic arteries of any area hence his efforts.

Kiyombo who is also the inspiring MP for the area said “you have to remember that this area has been bordered with Tanzania and we need to  have good road networks. These good road networks will also reduce issues of smuggling.”

He denied that he is doing that as a campaign tool to hook support saying “I have been doing this before. The only difference is that this time I have extended my work.”

In his remarks, group village headman Chiwowora thanked Kiyombo for being with the community especially in changing the face of their area.
