Minister of Homeland Security Kenneth Zikhale Ng’oma has underscored the importance of security in the development of the country.

Ng’oma made the remarks on Saturday in Chikwawa district during the official handover ceremony of the Misewu folo police unit which has been constructed by a member of parliament for Chikwawa Nkombezi constituency Abida Mia.

Ng’oma said this has been made possible because of the zeal for the state president Lazarus Chakwera to raise CDF from k40 million to k100 million.

The Minister has since thanked
Mia for prioritising security in her area.

“Am so excited with the facility which a member for Chikwawa Nkombezi constituency Abida Mia has constructed,this is a gift to my ministry which will help to improve the security of this community and country at large,” Ng’oma said.

On her part member of parliament for Chikwawa Nkombezi constituency Abida Mia who is also minister for water and sanitation has said that security is one of the pillars for the development of the country,hence prioritising the security of her area for proper execution of business activities.

Over k30 million from the Constituency Development Fund ( CDF) has been used for the construction of the facility.
