Minister of Homeland security Ken Zikhale Ng’oma has hinted that the construction of security houses in the country will enhance security. Speaking during the handover ceremony of the houses at Ndilande Police Station, Zikhale said Government will continue with the project. He said under the direction of President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, Government will also endeavour to strengthen collaboration and cooperation with development partners for a concerted effort at addressing the accommodation challenge as it also explores effective alternative ways to improve the delivery of police services. The Chakwera administration has since appealed to Police officers to take care of houses. “Allow me at this point to make an appeal to Police Officers who will be allocated these house to take good care of the beautiful houses. Let US guard the houses from any form of Vandalism and abuse, ” he said. Malawi Government is destined to construct 10,000 security houses.
