Investigators have recovered 3 kilograms and 876 grams of gold from Aquil Ansari, father of Noor Ansari who is on remand over the death of Asif Khan. According to reports published by Malawi Cables , Gold was reportedly found at Ansari’s premises and has not been publicly disclosed by authorities. Sources say the items are believed to belong to Sky Electronics directors Mustafa and Sadiq Kader, who are named as persons of interest but have not been formally charged. According to details gathered, on 21 July 2026, Limbe Police recorded statements from Noor Ansari, Aquil Ansari and Mudassir Ansari. The following day, 22 July, officers led by SCIO Limbe, Mr. Makolija, searched a former residence of Mustafa and Sadiq Kader behind Salvage 2000, Pa Yanakis, seeking CCTV equipment and storage devices. Separately, four men — Aquil Ansari, Furkaan Ansari, Mudassir Ansari and Muhammad Khalid — assisted with washing the deceased’s body. They did not report to police or to Limbe Muslim Jamar any signs of assault observed at the time. They remain out of custody as inquiries continue. We also note interactions involving vehicles ZA 2568 and LA 78692. Sources allege meetings took place with Mr. Makolija where aspects of the investigation were discussed. To date, no post-mortem findings have been released. Police have not issued a further public update on the case. The investigation remains active.
