Lumbadzi Police Station has demonstrated its commitment to promoting environmental cleanliness officials, the Ward Councillor, and other stakeholders, who worked collectively and public health by participating in a clean-up exercise held at Lumbadzi Trading Centre.

The exercise brought together police officers, Lilongwe City Council officials, the Ward Councillor, and other stakeholders, who worked collectively to improve sanitation within the trading centre. Participants collected plastic waste, removed litter, and cleared drainage channels to ensure the free flow of water during the rainy season.

Speaking during the exercise, Lumbadzi Police Station Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Alice Zingunde, emphasized that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility that requires the involvement of every community member.

“Keeping our surroundings clean is everyone’s responsibility Zingunde noted that environmental cleanliness plays a vital role in preventing the outbreak of diseases, improving public health, and creating stakeholders in addressing environmental challenges,” she said.
