Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara has paid off K1Million to Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) for students who could not raise the money from their parents. MANEB few days ago announced that 29,000 students have not paid the fees. The K1 million assistance will carter for 44 students from Kwakupokela CDSS, Ekwendeni CDSS, Njuyu CDSS, Msiki CDSS, and Enyezini CDSS. Further, a well-wisher in the area has paid about K300,000 for students at Emvuyeni CDSS who did not afford paying their examination fees by Thursday 11th January. In an interview Bodwin Jere from the constituency has commended Hon Gotan Hara for the initiative. Jere said these are people deserving public office.
