Sun Gold Food Processing Company launches free water Kiosk for the people of Mgona

Paramount Holdings and Sun Gold Food professors on Wednesday handed over three free water kiosks which will help the people of Mgona to access free clean water.

Sun Gold Managing Director Maheshi Ghedia said the initiative is aimed at cementing solid relationship which exist with the people of Mgona.

Maheshi commended his team for the successful completion of the project.
Maheshi commended the Minister of water Abida Mia for honouring the invitation.

The Managing Director appealed to the community of Mgona to take care of the facility.

“This facility is there to assist you there fore you need to protect the facility because this will assist yourself”

Speaking during the function ,Senior Group Village Headman Mwala hailed the project describing it as critical to the people of Mgona. The chief said it was so difficult for people to be buying water each and everyday.

The chief asked the Management of Sun Gold and Paramount to help Mgona Primary School with another kiosk saying currently the children are at risk of contracting water borne diseases.

Mayor of Lilongwe City commended the Sun Gold for the project. Banda said the free water project is in line with President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera vision on clean water. The Mayor asked the Minister to help in erecting other Kioks to Mgona community.

During his speech Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre, Alfred Jiya while commending Sun Gold for the free water project, appealed to Mgona community to take care of the facilities. He said it will be sad to see these facilities at Mgona market.
