State President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has hailed Muslim World League for the timely support to the vulnerable communities in the country. Chakwera was speaking at a cerebration of programs of Muslims World League held at Bingu International Convention Centre. The Malawi leader said he believe that Malawians in the country can commend the League as it is supporting thousands of orphans with education of MK8.5 billion orphan allowances programme that was launched last year. “I believe that Malawians need to know that when in declared the state of disaster five months ago, the Muslim World League initiated a drought disaster rapid response program that distributed a relief basket to 200,000 household in the 23 affected districts,” the president retaliated. He therefore, commends the Muslim World League for being for being true friends to Malawians in the time of need.
