The Ministry of Agriculture would like to inform tobacco farmers that it has extended the period they can register to sell their tobacco this season. The extension will expire on January 31, 2024 The extension has been necessitated due to an increase in requests from farmers to allow them sell their tobacco The Ministry is also responding to an increase in requests for Malawi tobacco by international buyers following changes to our tobacco laws, which has made Malawi tobacco attractive. The Ministry is also informing growers that there will be no punishment for late registration.
