Malawi Congress Congress (MCP) Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda has condemned remarks which Mulanje Bale Parliamentarian , Victor Musowa made in Ndirande during the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) rally in which he is allegedly having uttered remarks of inciting violence.

According Musowa at the rally he is said to have instructed people in the area to deal with anyone shouting Kwacha which is MCP slogan.
“Mukamva wina akuti kwacha eetu muzingopanga momuja basi muja m’machitira muja,” he said literally meaning deal with all MCP members.
This statement has not angered MCP followers but all democracy loving people.
Chimwendo says the statement which Musowa has uttered is a clear witness that DPP is a political party which believes in criminal activities to have its mission accomplished.
The SG said Malawians are not interested to vote back DPP into power.
“Let me tell you that Malawians have no appetite to vote DPP again into power DPP is the party which believes in political violence,” he said.
During the briefing, Chimwendo other notable members spoke rebuking Musowa and DPP.
Some of the people who also spoke include Minister of Gender, Jean Sendeza and MCP regional chairperson , Patrick Zebron Chilondola.
