A concerned citizen of Malawi Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda of Area 51 in Lilongwe, has called on President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to reshuffle his cabinet and appoint only six ministers to help him run the country.

Kaliza Banda said some individual cabinet ministers have not helped to keep the legacy of President Professor Mutharika but destroying it claiming that other Malawians are insulting and castigating Mutharika for the offences committed by his ministers.

She said she has been alarmed to hearing reports that one officer at the Malawi Embassy in Mozambique is a girl friend of one cabinet minister and that the offer letter of acceptance was written by someone on her behalf.

The citizen has claimed that Bakili Muluzi TV and Comrade Ntanyiwa said this already that some people who were sent to work in the Diplomatic Missions are girl friends of some DPP ministers and others were the ones who were at the top insulting Professor Mutharika that he is an.old person not fit for presidency.

Kaliza Banda said reports that some DPP ministers are billionaires in just one year in office are very shocking happening at a time that the country is struggling to find forex and if forex is available, then it is at a black market.

She said the price of maize is keeping on going up everyday, advising President Professor Mutharika on the need to control the prices of maize that if this is under looked, Malawians will revolt against their elected government.

Kaliza Banda said it is not a secret that some DPP ministers are stealing a lot in government saying ever since 1994 Malawi has been in trapped into fuel woos but the fuel woos that has happened in the time of the DPP, has never happened before.

She said this could be the best time for Professor Mutharika to reshuffle his cabinet on the claims that current DPP ministers are a shame to Malawians, birds of a feather flocking together just the same as MCP.

She said Tanzanian President, the late John Joseph Pombe Magufuli appointed only six ministers and he relied heavily on sector Principal Secretaries and Directors in government saying things were moving to the satisfactory of many Tanzanians.

” Government is paying ministers handsome salaries per month who are thieves in the same government, government is losing double,” said Kaliza Banda.

Kaliza Banda said President Professor Mutharika can borrow a leaf from what Magufuli was doing saying this is why after his death, many Tanzanians joined by the world mourned him painfully.

She said the salaries saved from paying corrupt and crooked ministers could go a long way to subsidize prices of essential commodities including maize to be affordable and easily reached by the poor.
