By Kondanani Chilimunthaka President Lazarus Chakwera on Sunday, 10th March 2024, urged Malawians to focus on achieving 2063 vision as a shared vision for the nation. The President was speaking to a congregation at Mchengautuwa CCAP church of Livingstonia Synod, during the Sunday service which he attended. In his few minutes of message to the jam-packed church and the entire nation, Chakwera said just like a shared vision of Apostle Paul in Acts Chapter 16 of the Bible, one’s vision can become a great vision for the whole nation if well implemented, adding that the scripture of the day echoed well with the Malawi 2063 vision of becoming a self-reliant and wealthy nation. “That vision can be fulfilled very fast if there is a mindset change as the Moderator of the Synod has perfectly put it in his preaching. The mindset change will help us to do other things much quicker than anticipated” Said President Chakwera. Saying he was privileged to congregate at Mchengautuwa CCAP, President Chakwera who was accompanied by the First Lady, Madam Monica Chakwera and other senior government officials, commended the Synod of Livingstonia for partnering government in various areas of life including times of dryspell, floods, and cholera outbreak in the country. In his sermon themed “Raise the bar and do not be lazy” Reverend Reuben Msowoya who is the Moderator for the Synod of Livingstonia urged Malawians to work hard and work together to fulfill the agenda for development. Meanwhile the church has disclosed that President Chakwera has been the first President to congregate with them and assisted the church with K5 million towards its project. During the service, the church presented a gift of a Bible to President Lazarus Chakwera.
